One Killed in Oklaunion Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 287

Oklaunion, Texas (April 6, 2022) – One person was killed Monday night in a two-vehicle crash near Oklaunion, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 4:30 p.m., April 4, on U.S. 287.

DPS said a car was heading southbound when it likely hydroplaned, crossed the median, and was struck by a semi-truck. There were storms that rolled through at the time of the crash.

The car driver was killed in the crash. Their identity has not been released.

No other information was available.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
