2 People Killed in Southeast Austin Two-Vehicle Crash at SH 71 and SH 130

Austin, Texas (April 8, 2020) – Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night in southeast Austin, a local news source reported.

The fatal crash occurred just before midnight, April 7, at the intersection of the SH 71 westbound service road and the SH 130 northbound service road.

Police said a car was heading westbound, and a fuel truck was heading northbound. Both vehicles then collided, for unknown reasons, at the intersection.

Two people in the car were killed in the crash. Their identities have not been released.

The driver of the fuel truck was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the frontage road for several hours. 

The crash remains under investigation.
