Steven Henderson Killed in Louise Pedestrian Accident on FM 647

Louise, Texas (October 17, 2019) – A firefighter was hit and killed by his fellow firefighter last month in Louise, according to the authorities.

The accident occurred around 8:55 p.m. October 7, on FM-647.

DPS said 60-year-old Steven Henderson and another firefighter were inspecting their fire truck on the side of the highway when they were hit by a dually pick-up truck driven by their fellow firefighter.

Henderson was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital with severe injuries where he died on Saturday, October 12.

The other firefighter was taken to Oak Bend Richmond with non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is underway.
