Timothy Perkins Killed in NW Houston Hit-and-Run on Highway 290

Houston, Texas (January 23, 2022) – An AAA independent tow truck driver was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run accident in northwest Houston, according to the authorities.

The deadly accident happened around 2:00 a.m., January 22, on Highway 290 near Pinemont.

Authorities said the tow truck driver was helping a stranded driver on the side of the highway and was loading the stranded vehicle onto his tow truck when he was struck by another vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after hitting the tow truck driver.

The victim, Timothy Perkins, 33, was killed in the crash. 

The stranded driver was uninjured in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
