Victoria Dai Killed in Southlake Bicycle Accident on Davis Boulevard near West Southlake Boulevard

Southlake, Texas (August 5, 2023) – The 12-year-old girl who was killed Thursday morning in a bicycle accident in Southlake has been identified as Victoria Dai, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office.

The deadly accident happened around 9:30 a.m., August 3, in the 100 block of Davis Boulevard, near the intersection with West Southlake Boulevard near Randol Mill Avenue.

Officials said a white Chevy pickup was traveling northbound as Dai rode her bike also northbound on an adjacent sidewalk. As the truck turned right into a shopping center, it collided with Dai.

Dai was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Grapevine, where she later died. She lived in the neighborhood behind the shopping plaza.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
