Woman Hit, Killed by Vehicle on Interstate 610 in Houston

38-Year-Old Woman Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 610 near Lockwood Drive

Houston, Texas (August 26, 2023) – A 38-year-old woman died after she was hit by a vehicle early Friday morning in Houston, police said.

The deadly crash happened at about 1:40 a.m. Friday, August 25, in the 4900 block of Interstate 610 North Loop East, just before Lockwood Drive.

According to the police, the woman was in the far right lanes of the freeway when she was struck by a Honda CRV that was traveling eastbound.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 49-year-old driver of the Honda stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. He was not intoxicated at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
