Trooper among Two Injured in Lubbock Semi-Truck Crash at Highway 84 and County Road 3600

Lubbock, Texas (December 28, 2019) – Two people including a trooper were injured on Friday in a traffic accident in Lubbock, according to a local news source.

The crash happened on Friday, December 27, on Highway 84 and County Road 3600.

As per the report, the trooper was working on a crash when a semi-truck driver lost control in the foggy weather, overturned and then slid on its side, onto the shoulder. The semi-truck landed on top of a pickup truck, pinning the driver underneath the trailer for a few hours.

The semi-truck also hit the trooper.

The trooper was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The pickup driver had to be extricated and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
