Trooper Curtis Putz Hit by Vehicle on I-45 in Navarro County

Trooper Curtis Putz Injured in Navarro County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 45

Navarro County, Texas (February 1, 2023) – According to officials, a Texas DPS trooper was seriously injured Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Navarro County.

The accident happened around 8:45 a.m., January 31, on Interstate 45 near mile marker 220.

Officials said trooper Curtis Putz was outside his vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle.

Putz was pinned under a vehicle after being hit and was taken to a Dallas hospital in serious condition.

No other details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
