Two Injured in San Angelo Two-Vehicle Crash at East 24th Street and Pecan Street

San Angelo, Texas (September 17, 2021) – Two people were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in San Angelo, according to the authorities.

The crash happened around 3:30 p.m., September 16, at the intersection of East 24th Street and Pecan Street.

Authorities said a silver Dodge Ram pickup was traveling westbound on 24th Street when it ran a stop sign at the intersection and hit a green Ford Expedition that was traveling southbound on Pecan Street.

Two people were trapped in the Expedition. The driver, a 53-year-old, was taken to Shannon Hospital for treatment. The passenger, a 60-year-old, was taken to Shannon with non-incapacitating injuries.

The Dodge driver, a 19-year-old, was cited for disregarding a stop sign.

The crash remains under investigation.
