Felix John Jaramillo Killed in Odessa Motorcycle Accident at East University Boulevard and Bonham Avenue

Odessa, Texas (June 10, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night in an alleged hit-and-run accident at an Odessa intersection, according to a local news source.

The deadly accident happened just before 11:00 p.m. June 5, at the intersection of East University Boulevard and Bonham Avenue.

Police said Jose Angel Ramirez-Rodriguez, 46, was driving a Ford F-350 westbound on University Boulevard with a Dodge Challenger behind it. 48-year-old Felix John Jaramillo was riding a Harley Davidson eastbound on University Boulevard.

Rodriguez turned left onto Bonham Avenue and failed to yield the right of way. He then hit Jaramillo, pushing the motorcycle into the Challenger.

Rodriguez fled the scene after the accident.

Jaramillo was taken to Medical Center Hospital where he later died.

The Challenger driver was uninjured in the crash.

Rodriguez was later found on Andrews Highway and was arrested.

The Odessa police are investigating the crash.
