2 Women Seriously Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on US 62 at Illex Street near Idalou

Lubbock, Texas (November 8, 2019) – Two people were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday evening in Lubbock, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The crash took place around 6:30 p.m. on November 7, on US Highway 62 at Illex Street near Idalou.

DPS said a 28-year-old Crosbyton woman was driving a Chevy Equinox eastbound on the highway when a Ford Explorer failed to yield at the intersection, resulting in a collision.

The Explorer driver, a 21-year-old Idalou woman, and the Equinox driver were taken to UMC with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
