Steven Henninger Killed in Robertson County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 7 and FM 397

Robertson County, Texas (July 26, 2021) – According to the Texas DPS, one person was killed, and another was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Robertson County.

The fatal crash happened on July 23, at the intersection of Highway 7 and Farm-to-Market Road 397, west of Marquez.

DPS said Steven Henninger, 67, of Thornton, was driving a 2017 Toyota pickup truck on FM 397 when he pulled out onto Highway 7 and into the path of a westbound 2014 Peterbilt 18-wheeler, resulting in a collision.

Henninger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 18-wheeler driver, 35-year-old Eric Negrete of Larue, sustained minor injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
