Man Killed in Pharr Pedestrian Accident on South Jackson Road and Ridge Road; Fernando Balladarez Arrested

Pharr, Texas (February 25, 2023) – A man was killed on Thursday in a hit-and-run accident in Pharr, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened on February 23, at the intersection of South Jackson Road and Ridge Road.

Police said the man was struck by a white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck at the intersection.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The Chevrolet driver, Fernando Alberto Balladarez, 19, of San Juan, fled the scene after the accident. He was later arrested on charges of an accident involving personal injury or death.

A second vehicle was also involved in the crash, and the driver fled the scene.
