Valarie Jones ID’d as Woman Killed in Houston Motorcycle Accident on FM 1960 East

Houston, Texas (December 15, 2019) – The woman who was killed last month in a motorcycle crash in northeast Houston has been identified as 56-year-old Valarie Jones, according to the police.

The crash happened around 1:00 p.m. November 19, in the 11200 block of FM 1960 East, east of Lake Houston.

Police said 49-year-old Sheila Files was driving a truck westbound on the highway when she struck Jones, who was riding a motorcycle and had slowed down to turn into an apartment complex.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

Files was arrested on suspicion of DUI. 

An investigation is underway.
