Waco Police Officer and 2 Others Injured in Waco Traffic Accident at Hewitt Drive and Imperial Avenue

Waco, Texas (April 27, 2019) – A police officer and two civilians were injured when two vehicles collided at an intersection in Waco late Thursday night, police said.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Hewitt Drive and Imperial Avenue around 11:25 p.m. April 25.
Police said a vehicle traveling westbound on Imperial Avenue when it crashed into the driver’s side back of a Chevy Tahoe traveling north on Hewitt Drive. A female Waco police officer was driving the Tahoe and became trapped when the vehicle rolled over. The officer was later rescued by another officer who went to the scene.
The driver of the Tahoe sustained minor injuries and was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest. The two occupants of the westbound vehicle also suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the westbound car was cited by the police.
