Wayne Todd Killed in Milam County Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 486 near CR 436

Milam County, Texas – One person was killed Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Milam County, just north of Thorndale, according to the troopers.

The fatal crash happened just after 9:00 a.m., January 16, on FM 486 near CR 436.

Troopers said a 2021 Nissan Rouge was traveling northbound when it failed to control its speed and rear-ended a 2019 International Garbage truck that had stopped to pick up a load of trash.

The Nissan driver, 61-year-old Wayne Hoyt Todd, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The people in the garbage truck were uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
