Woman Injured in Gregg County Train Crash on Highway 31

Gregg County, Texas (March 24, 2021) – A woman was injured Tuesday afternoon after her car was struck by a train in Gregg County, according to a local news source.

The crash happened around 4:00 p.m., March 23, in the 2800 block of Highway 31, two miles outside of Longview.

DPS said the woman was driving a passenger car and was trying to beat a train when her car was hit by the train.

The woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No other details were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
