Woman Killed in North Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on North Lamar Boulevard near Rutland Drive

Austin, Texas (August 28, 2023) – A woman was killed Sunday morning in a head-on collision in North Austin, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just before 4:00 a.m., August 27, on North Lamar Boulevard near Rutland Drive.

Police said two vehicles collided head-on. A third vehicle was also involved in the crash, but it fled the scene.

A woman was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

The driver of the third vehicle was later arrested.

The police are investigating the crash.
