Woman Killed in Pedestrian Crash on I-45 in Conroe

26-Year-Old Woman Killed in Conroe Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 45

Conroe, Texas (December 7, 2020) – A 26-year-old woman was killed in a pedestrian accident Monday morning in Conroe, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 5:43 a.m., on southbound Interstate 45 between South Loop 336 and Crighton.

Police said the woman was walking in the middle of the lane and was wearing dark-colored clothing when she was struck by a truck.

The truck then hit a Montgomery County sheriff’s deputy vehicle. The impact caused the MCSO vehicle to hit another vehicle.

The woman was killed in the crash. Her name has not been released.

The crash closed the freeway southbound at Gladstell. The lanes have since been reopened.

The police are investigating the crash.
