6 Injured in Two Multi-Vehicle Crashes on I-35 North in North Austin

Six Hospitalized after North Austin Multi-Vehicle Crashes on I-35 North

Austin, Texas (November 1, 2019) – Six people were injured Thursday afternoon in two multi-vehicle crashes in North Austin, according to the authorities.

The crash occurred in the 8700 block of I-35 North.

Officials said one multiple-vehicle crash happened in the northbound lanes and a second multiple-vehicle crash happened in the southbound lanes.

A woman in her 20s was trapped in one of the vehicles.

A man in his 20s and a woman in her 20s were taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries. A woman in her 20s was also taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

Two men, one in his 40s and one in his 50s were also taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

One other person was taken to St. David’s ER with non-life threatening injuries.

The crashes closed both directions of I-35 North. The lanes were later reopened.

An investigation is underway.
