16-Year-Old Killed in Nacogdoches Motorcycle Crash on U.S. 59

Nacogdoches, Texas (February 7, 2023) – A teenager was killed on Friday in a motorcycle crash about three miles north of Nacogdoches, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 6:40 p.m., February 3, on U.S. 59.

Authorities said the 16-year-old Nacogdoches teenager was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle when he tried to cross the northbound lanes of the highway from the shoulder and was hit by a 2013 Ford pickup.

The teenager was taken to Nacogdoches Medical Center where he later died. His name has not been released.

The truck driver, Chris Johnson, 62, of Houston, was uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
