Three Injured in SE Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 183

Austin, Texas (December 24, 2020) – Three people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Southeast Austin, according to officials.

The crash happened around 3:12 p.m., December 23, on U.S. 183, near Industry Way.

Officials said three vehicles were involved in the collision.

Three people were taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment. One of the victims had critical injuries while the other two had non-life-threatening injuries. A STAR Flight helicopter crew was called to the scene to help with patient transport.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of U.S. 183 near Burleson Road.

Motorists were urged to seek alternate routes.

The crash remains under investigation.
