Woman Struck, Killed by Two Cars on I-45 in Harris County

Woman Killed in Harris County Pedestrian Accident on I-45 near Grand Parkway

Harris County, Texas (September 27, 2021) – A woman was hit and killed by two vehicles early Monday morning in north Harris County, according to the deputies.

The deadly accident happened just before 3:00 a.m., September 26, in the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 near Grand Parkway.

Deputies said a couple was arguing in their vehicle when they pulled over onto the frontage road, and the woman jumped out of the vehicle. She ran onto the freeway in an attempt to get away from her boyfriend and was struck by two oncoming vehicles.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The accident closed the freeway for more than three hours, and traffic was diverted off the freeway onto Grand Parkway, Highway 99.

The deputies are investigating the crash.
