Yordi Sang, Kelly Garcia-Alban ID’d as 2 Victims Killed in Jefferson County Crash on Highway 73 near LaBelle Road

Jefferson County, (August 23, 2023) – Authorities have identified the two people who died following a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening in Jefferson County as Yordi Geovanny Sang, 25, and Kelly Cristina Garcia-Alban, 28, both of Port Arthur.

The deadly crash happened at around 6.00 p.m. Tuesday, 22 on Highway 73 near LaBelle Road.

Authorities said a Mitsubishi passenger car, driven by Sang, was heading eastbound on Highway 73 when the passenger car cross over the grassy median into the westbound lane and was hit by a Chevrolet pickup that was heading westbound.

Sang and one of his passengers, Garcia-Alban, were declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the pickup was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
