One Killed and One Hospitalized after Salado Car Crash on Interstate 35 at Exit 286
Salado, Texas (February 19, 2019) – One person was killed, and another was injured Monday night in a wrong-way crash in Salado, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash was reported at about 10:00 p.m. February 18, on Interstate 35 at Exit 286.
Police said a driver was heading the wrong way on the southbound lanes of the freeway when it crashed head-on into another vehicle at Exit 286.
One of the drivers was killed in the collision. The other driver was taken to Baylor Scott & White with unspecified injuries.
All the southbound lanes near the crash scene were closed for several hours following the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
