Driver Killed in Kaufman Crash on State Highway 34 near Farm-to-Market (FM) 2728
Kaufman, Texas (March 12, 2019) – A driver was killed Monday in a traffic accident near Kaufman, police said.
The fatal crash happened at an unknown time Monday, March 11 on State Highway (SH) 34 near Farm-to-Market (FM) 2728.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Toyota Rav4 was heading southbound on FM 2728 when for an unknown reason it failed to yield to the right-of-way and turned in front of an 18-wheeler that was traveling northbound on State Highway 34.
The Rav4 driver was declared dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending identification of the family.
The operator of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
