Man Hospitalized after Athens Bus Crash on Highway 175 East near Smith Lumber Company

Athens, Texas (September 4, 2019) – A man was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a traffic accident in Athens, according to a local news source.

The crash was reported just before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3 on Highway 175 East near Smith Lumber Company.

As per the local news report, the man was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck on Highway 175 East when for an unknown reason, the Chevrolet collided with a Bus from the Athens ISD.

The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to a hospital in Athens with unspecified injuries. The name and condition of the patient at this time were not disclosed.

No children on the bus were injured in the crash.
