One Injured in Montgomery County 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 45 at Shepherd Hill

Montgomery County, Texas (January 10, 2023) – One person was injured on Monday in an 18-wheeler crash just 1 mile south of the Walker/Montgomery County line, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on January 9, on Interstate 45 at Shepherd Hill.

Authorities said the crash involved an 18-wheeler flatbed, which was hauling building material, and another 18-wheeler.

The flatbed rolled upside down on the freeway trapping the driver after the crash, while the second 18-wheeler ended up between the freeway and the feeder.

The driver of the flatbed was rescued and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The other driver was uninjured in the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

There are many different reasons why automobile, pedestrian, 18-wheeler, and motorcycle accidents occur, including driver negligence, driver inattention, texting and driving, speeding, fatigue, failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign, or private drive, running a red light, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. While the factors listed above are the main causes of most accidents, there may also be other factors involved, which is why it’s important that an investigation be conducted before evidence disappears, especially in cases involving a fatality.  At Joel A. Gordon & Associates, we will act quickly to secure accident scene photos, interview witnesses, obtain police records, and secure other valuable evidence needed to win your case.  Call now for a free consultation.
