Driver Charged For DUI Crash on Scyene Road in Dallas

Driver Arrested after Dallas Car Accident That Injured 6-Year-Old Child on Scyene Road near Masters Drive
Dallas, Texas (May 15, 2019) – The suspected drunken motorist who caused a traffic accident that injured a 6-year-old child Saturday night in Dallas has been arrested, police said.
The crash happened just after 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11 in the 10100 block of Scyene Road near Masters Drive.
According to the police, a 2002 brown Mercury sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed on Scyene Road when its driver entered into the center of the lanes in an attempt to pass between a 2008 white Toyota sedan and a 2015 Dodge SUV.
As the Mercury was traveling in the middle of the lanes, it collided with the Toyota that was approaching a red light on Scyene Road. The Mercury also hit the Dodge.
The child was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The Mercury driver was arrested and charged with DUI.
The crash remains under investigation.
