Kenneth Bufford and Zion Andenji Killed in Richmond Two-Vehicle Crash on Westpark Tollway near FM 1464

Richmond, Texas (July 10, 2021) – Three people, including a toddler, were killed early Friday morning in a fiery wrong-way crash in Richmond, according to the deputies.

The fatal crash happened around 1:15 a.m., July 9, on the Westpark Tollway near FM 1464.

Deputies said a black Hyundai sedan was traveling the wrong way on the tollway when it crashed head-on into a white Audi SUV driven by a woman.

Both vehicles caught fire after the collision.

The sedan driver, 28-year-old Kenneth Bufford, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The Audi driver was also pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Bufford’s 2-year-old nephew, Zion Andenji, was airlifted to the Texas Medical Center, where they later died.

The crash remains under investigation.
