Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident on SH 62 in Orange County

23-Year-Old Dayton Woman Killed in Orange County Pedestrian Accident on SH 62

Orange County, Texas (October 10, 2020) – A 23-year-old Dayton woman was killed in a pedestrian accident Friday morning in Orange County, near Tulane, according to the Texas DPS.

The deadly accident occurred around 6:15 a.m., October 9, on SH 62.

DPS said the woman was walking in the inside (fast) lane of the highway when she was struck by a 2012 Nissan SUV. She was then struck by a Toyota passenger vehicle.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.

The Nissan driver, a 28-year-old Jasper resident, was uninjured in the crash.

The Toyota driver, a 25-year-old Orange resident, was also uninjured in the crash.

The troopers are investigating the crash.
