1 Injured in DUI Crash at Monte Cristo Road and Doolittle Road in Edinburg

One Injured, One Arrested after Edinburg Crash at Monte Cristo Road and Doolittle Road

Edinburg, Texas (April 4, 2023) – A driver was injured and another was arrested following a traffic accident that happened on Friday afternoon in Edinburg, police said.

The crash occurred at around 3:15 p.m. Friday, March 31 at the intersection of Monte Cristo Road and Doolittle Road.

According to the police, an 18-wheeler was traveling against traffic when it collided with a dump truck.

The driver of the dump truck was transported to a hospital with minor injuries. The 18-wheeler driver, a 53-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
