1 Killed, 1 Injured in Head-On Collision in Odessa

1 Driver Dies in Odessa Car Accident on Andrews Highway and 52nd Street

Odessa, Texas (November 17, 2023) – Authorities responded to a deadly head-on crash Thursday evening at an intersection in Odessa.

Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue said the wreck happened in the 5200 block of Andrews Highway and 52nd Street at around 7:11 p.m. on November 16.

A silver Buick LaCrosse was travelling northbound on Andrews Highway, at the same time, a white Chevrolet Silverado was travelling southbound and attempted to turn east into a private drive.

Both cars collided head-on in the area.

Both drivers were transported to MCH with serious bodily injuries. The driver of the Buick LaCrosse was later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.

An investigation is underway
