One Killed and Two Critically Injured in Amarillo Two-Vehicle Crash on SH 136 near Asarco Plant

Amarillo, Texas (February 11, 2022) – One person was killed, and two others were critically injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Amarillo, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:35 p.m., February 10, on State Highway 136 near the Asarco plant.

DPS said two SUVs were involved in the crash.

One person was killed in the crash. Two other people were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
