1 Killed, 2 Injured in Car Crash on US 287 in Ennis

Man Killed and Two Injured in Ennis Two-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 287

Ennis, Texas (June 7, 2021) – A man was killed, and two other people were injured Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Ennis, according to the police.

The deadly crash happened around 11:30 a.m., June 6, on U.S. Highway near the Texas Motorplex.

Police said the man was driving a Cadillac ATS northbound on the highway when he tried to cross the northbound lanes at a crossover. He failed to yield to the northbound traffic and was hit by a Chevrolet Silverado occupied by a family of four.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Two people in the other vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The police are investigating the crash.
