James Kessler Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Gulf Bank Road

Houston, Texas (January 16, 2021) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Friday night in north Houston, according to deputies.

The deadly accident happened around 9:30 p.m., January 15, in the 600 block of Gulf Bank Road.

Deputies said James Kessler was helping a truck driver back a trailer into a private driveway when he was struck by a purple Nissan or Infiniti passenger vehicle that then fled the scene.

Kessler was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators said the suspect vehicle could be missing its left side mirror.
