Nicholas Terrazas Killed in Odessa Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 302
Odessa, Texas (July 19, 2021) – A teen was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash near Odessa, according to the Texas DPS.
The fatal crash happened around 10:00 p.m., July 18, on State Highway 302.
DPS said an 18-wheeler and a Dodge Charger were traveling westbound on the highway when the 18-wheeler slowed down to turn into a parking lot and was rear-ended by the Dodge.
One of the passengers in the Dodge, 19-year-old Nicholas Terrazas, was pronounced dead at the scene. Terrazas was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Dodge driver and two other passengers were taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 18-wheeler driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
