One Killed and Two Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash at South Loop 289 and Slide Road

Lubbock, Texas (August 22, 2021) – According to the police, one person was killed, and two others were injured early Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Lubbock.

The fatal crash happened just before 12:45 a.m., August 19, in the area of South Loop 289 and Slide Road.

Police said two vehicles were involved in the wreck.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

Two other people sustained minor injuries in the crash.

The crash closed all lanes of Slide Road, and traffic was diverted to the South Loop access roads.

The police are investigating the crash.
