One Killed in Fort Worth 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 20 near Bryant Irvin Road

Fort Worth, Texas (December 28, 2020) – One person was killed Sunday night in a two-vehicle crash in Fort Worth, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash happened just before 8:30 p.m., December 27, on westbound Interstate 20 near Bryant Irvin Road.

Police said a vehicle was traveling westbound on the interstate when it rear-ended an 18-wheeler that had slowed due to construction in the area.

The force of the impact caused the vehicle to overturn.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

The 18-wheeler driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of I-20, but they have since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.
