One Person Killed in Houston Crash on Highway 225 (LaPorte Freeway) at Allen Genoa Road

Houston, Texas (June 16, 2022) – A three-vehicle collision has claimed the life of a person Wednesday evening on a highway in Houston, police said.

The deadly crash happened at around 5:41 p.m. on Highway 225 at Allen Genoa Road. Highway 225 is also known as the LaPorte Freeway.

According to Houston police, three vehicles were involved in the crash. Details on what led up to the accident at this time are unknown.

One person, whose name was being withheld pending family notification, died in the crash.

No other injuries were immediately reported.

Police closed all westbound lanes of State Highway 225 during the investigation.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided. The accident remains under investigation.
