William Byerly ID’d as Person Killed in Slaton Crash at Slaton Highway and FM Road 835
Slaton, Texas (May 28, 2019) – The person who was killed Sunday night in a traffic accident in Slaton has been identified as William Byerly, 27, of Lubbock, according to authorities.
The deadly crash, which was reported just before midnight Sunday, May 26, occurred near Slaton Highway and Farm-to-Market Road 835.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety, a semi-truck was traveling eastbound on the highway when for an unknown reason, it struck a Ford F-250 driven by Byerly.
Byerly was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the semi-truck was not injured in the wreck.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
