One Killed in Houston Four-Vehicle Crash on Katy Freeway near Washington Avenue

Houston, Texas (September 19, 2022) – One person was killed early Monday morning in a fiery four-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m., on I-10 Katy Freeway near the Washington Avenue/Westcott Avenue exit.

Police said a car and an 18-wheeler collided in the westbound lanes of the freeway. A total of four vehicles were involved in the crash.

One of the vehicles was engulfed in flames.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash closed the westbound lanes of the freeway.

The crash remains under investigation.
