One Killed in Houston Multi-Vehicle Crash on Eastex Freeway near Beltway 8

Houston, Texas (January 10, 2023) – One person was killed Monday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Houston, according to the police.

The fatal crash was reported around 7:51 p.m., January 9, in the northbound lanes of the Eastex Freeway near Beltway 8.

Police said the crash involved an 18-wheeler and at least six other vehicles.

One person was killed in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed the main northbound lanes of the freeway.

The crash remains under investigation.
