One Killed in Sugar Land Multi-Vehicle Crash on US 59 

Sugar Land, Texas (February 9, 2023) – One person was killed Wednesday evening in a multi-vehicle crash in Sugar Land, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened just before 5:00 p.m., February 8, in the southbound lanes of US-59 between Highway 90 and Dairy Ashford Road.

Police said multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, and two of them overturned following the crash.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The crash closed several main lanes of the freeway for an extended period of time.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
