One Killed in Kermit Semi-Truck Crash on State Highway 302

Kermit, Texas (January 28, 2022) – One person was killed Thursday morning in a semi-truck crash in Kermit, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 7:30 a.m., January 27, on Highway 302.

Authorities said the crash involved a semi-truck and another truck hauling sand.

The sand hauler’s trailer was partially inside of the other truck’s cab after the crash.

One of the drivers had to be extricated and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

No other details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
