1 Seriously Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Highway 62/82 in Lubbock

One Seriously Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 62/82 near Oxen Road

Lubbock, Texas (April 29, 2022) – One person was seriously injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Lubbock, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash was reported around 10:30 a.m., on Highway 62/82 northeast of Ropesville, near Oxen Road.

DPS said a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it struck another vehicle.

The passenger in the vehicle that was hit was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Traffic was diverted at FM 1585 in Lubbock County and on FM 41 in Ropesville following the crash.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
