14-Year-Old Boy Killed in Crandall Bicycle Accident on FM 741

Crandall, Texas (November 9, 2022) – A 14-year-old boy was killed in a bicycle accident Tuesday evening in Crandall, Kaufman County, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened around 6:30 p.m., November 8, on northbound FM 741.

Police said a group of juveniles on bikes were trying to cross the bridge between Thelma and Griffin lanes when a vehicle struck two of them who were on a single bike.

The child who was pedaling the bike sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

The 14-year-old who was riding on the bike’s back pegs was killed in the crash. His name has not been released. He was a freshman at the Crandall Freshman Center.

The police are investigating the crash.
