Three Injured in Godley Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 2331

Godley, Texas (December 7, 2020) – Three people, including an 8-year-old boy, were injured in a rollover crash Sunday night in Godley, according to authorities.

The crash happened on December 6, on FM 2331.

Authorities said a man in his 30s was driving a Tahoe when he ran a stop sign and was struck by a silver Dodge Ram that had a right of way.

The force of the impact caused the Tahoe to roll into a power pole. The pole broke and live lines fell to the grown.

The Tahoe driver pulled an 8-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and as he was doing so the child touched the power lines.

The child was taken to Parkland with major injuries and burns. Her mother, who was also a passenger in the Tahoe, was taken to Parkland with face and neck injuries.

The Dodge driver was taken to a local hospital with back injuries.

An investigation is underway.

We hope the injured victims recover quickly.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
