1 Seriously Injured in Truck Crash on I-35 in Austin

One Seriously Injured in Austin 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 35

Austin, Texas (March 31, 2023) – One person was seriously injured Thursday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in Austin, according to officials.

The crash happened around 6:15 a.m., March 30, in the southbound lane of I-35 near the intersection of East Riverside Drive.

Officials said a vehicle crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler and caught fire, leaving an adult pinned inside.

The victim was extricated and taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
