Young Girl Killed in Houston Three-Car Crash on Katy Freeway near Taylor Street

Houston, Texas (October 29, 2019) – The 10-year-old girl who was injured on Sunday in a three-car crash in Houston has died, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on Sunday, October 27, on the Katy Freeway (Interstate 10) near Taylor Street.

Police said the girl was riding in an eastbound Honda Civic when it was rear-ended by another car driven by Felix Marcelino Vega, 37.

The impact caused the Honda to hit another car.

The girl was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital in critical condition, where she was pronounced dead on Monday.

Vega was arrested and charged with second-degree felony intoxication manslaughter. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

The crash remains under investigation.
